Hiking trails in the Nature Reserve Malingsbo-Kloten

The Nature Reserve Malingsbo-Kloten offers a lot of nice hiking trails. Most of the hiking trails start at the small village square in Kloten right between Nordic Discovery's Adventure Center and Bed & Breakfast

3 days hike Nyfors-Kloten-Malingsbo-Nyfors

A classic three days hike on 35 km in the Nature Reserve Malingsbo/Kloten. The hike follow marked hiking trails between the small villages Nyfors, Kloten, Malingsbo and give the opportunity to stay overnight in Bed & Breakfast in Kloten and in camping huts in Malingsbo. To stay in the reserves Bed & Breakfast and camping huts makes the hike much easier when the backpack load can be significant reduced when tents and sleeping bags can be left at home

Day 1) Nyfors-Kloten 11 km. Night in Bed & Breakfast: www.wildernesslodge.se

Day 2) Kloten-Malingsbo 12 km. Night in camping hut: www.malingsbocamping.se

Day 3) Malingsbo-Nyfors 12 km

Day one can be paddled with canoes or kayaks. Nordic Discovery offer transport service of hired canoes and kayaks. Read about the canoe trail >>

2 days hike and canoeing Nyfors-Kloten-Nyfors

A two days hike and canoe excursion on 21 km in the Nature Reserve Malingsbo/Kloten. The hike follow the marked hiking trail between the small villages Kloten and Nyfors 

Day 1) Canoeing Nyfors-Kloten 10 km. Night in Bed & Breakfast: www.wildernesslodge.se

Day 2) Hiking Kloten-Nyfors 11 km

2 days hike Klosstjärnen-Kloten-Klosstjärnen

A nice two days hike on 24 km in the Nature Reserve Malingsbo/Kloten. The hike request that the hikers has their own car and a detailed map

You park your car where a small dirt road cross the hiking trail between Nyfors and Malingsbo close to the small lake Klosstjärnen

Day 1) Klosstjärnen-Kloten 12 km. Follow the hiking trail towards Malingsbo until the hiking trail connect with the hiking trail between Malingsbo and Kloten. Turn right and follow the hiking trail to Kloten. Night in Bed & Breakfast: www.wildernesslodge.se  

Day 2) Kloten-Klosstjärnen 12 km. Follow the hiking trail leading to Nyfors over the Grass Hill. The last 3 km you hike along a small dirt road back to your car

1 day hike Kloten-Kloten

A nice and recomended 1 day hike on 16 km takes you up on the Nature Reserve's highest point the Grass Hill. Splendid views over the forest and the lakes from the top of a high watch tower

Follow the hiking trail half way to Nyfors. From the Grass Hill you turn south along a small dirt road until you reach the hiking trail between Malingsbo and Kloten. Turn right and follow the hiking trail back to Kloten. Night in Bed & Breakfast: www.wildernesslodge.se

Short hike to Trollberget

The first 2 km on Bergslagsleden leads up to the top of Trollberget

    • Happy kids on the top of Trollberget. The village Kloten is located at the end of the lake
