Wilderness paddle & hiking tour

A guided paddle and hiking adventure through the Nature Reserve Malingsbo/Kloten's wilderness. A wild and untouched nature without signs of civilization. The pine forest is deep and dense and a popular retreat for many wild animals. Hiking between Kloten and Nytorp with return along the classic paddling distance between Nyfors and Kloten. Day 1) Hiking Kloten-Nytorp 12 km. Hiking over Gräsberget. Gräsberget is the highest point in The Nature Reserve with splendid views over forests and lakes. Picnic lunch half way. Wilderness dinner in front of the camp fire. Overnight in the forest

Day 2) Hiking Nytorp-Nyfors 2 km. Canoeing Nyfors-Kloten 13 km. Picnic lunch half way. Dinner and overnight in Kloten's Wilderness Lodge

Day 3) Breakfast. Check out time at noon

Wilderness paddle & hiking tour

The guided tour includes: Canoes or kayaks, paddles, life jackets, water proof sacks, sitting pads, 2 vegetarian picnic lunches, 2 two course dinners, 2 breakfasts with home made bread and cereal. Night one in tents, teepee or wind shelter in sleeping bags on sleeping mats. Night two in double rooms (family rooms) with sheets and towels

The tour starts and ends in the village Kloten. The village Kloten is located in the heart of the Nature Reserve Malingsbo/Kloten along road 233 between Skinnskatteberg and Kopparberg. 2,5 hours drive from Stockholm. Maps and road description >>

Type of hiking: Mainly easy along marked hiking trails

Type of paddling: Easy flat water paddling without current water

Landscape description: We pass through the wild and untouched nature in The Nature Reserve Malingsbo/Kloten. Trails and rivers are winding and the pine forest deep and beautiful

Paddle equipment: Paddling in canoes or kayaks. The canoes and kayaks are founded in the strong hard plastic material polyethylene and are in good shape. The kayaks are stable sea kayaks with broad waist constructed to manage big waves and strong wind in sea conditions

Number of participants: 4-10 persons

Price: 3500 SEK. Children under 15 years 3000 SEK

The paddle an hiking tour is arranged with a minimum of 4 participants on dates of free choice between May and October

Starting time day one: 10:00 AM  

Clothes to hike and paddle in: Shorts, sport clothes, rain gears in case of rain. Hat and sunglasses in case of sunshine
 
To bring on the trip: Rain gears, swimming gears, sun block, camera and warm "summer clothes". The participants will receive a bottle with drinking water at the beginning of the trip. The bottle will be refilled along the tour

Information: At the starting briefing detailed information about the tour will be hold in front of maps. On day 2 basic paddling instructions will be provided  

Safety: The guide has very good experience and is a certified life guard after passing all tests on the Swedish life guard associations life guard education. A firs aid kit is brought on the tour

Day temperatures: June - August 15 - 30 Centigrades. May and September 10 - 25 Centigrades
